Teachers with Students

Teachers of Students with Hearing Impairment

Teaching is a very responsible duty for teachers and its complex job either its teaching to deaf students or other students. and when teachers use different strategies and full potential to teach deaf students and these potential will definitely make impact and effect on student achievement. They describe few scopes that definitely make effect on students’ academic achievement. First scope is parent’s socio economic status, education qualification, cultural association and deaf students bounding and communication with their children impact on student’s positive outcomes to get good result. Second, scope of opportunity for deaf students to enrollment and placement. Third scope is for deaf students own characteristics age of disability, degree of hearing loss, experience of early childhood education, learning exposure good ability to communicate and understand. These scopes can enhance deaf students’ academic achievement and exposure of life like other students and children in a better way. Teacher belief, trust matter to meet the needs of each student in achievement of student’s success in academic life.

Teacher teaching with teacher-centered-approach may not involve students in learning and discussing their ideas and views, which do not have positive effect on deaf students learning. On the other hand, teachers using students-centered-approach discuss lecture and ideas which give space to students to think critically. All learning activities are used according to the needs of deaf students it enhance students learning opportunities and make good effect on students’ academic achievement. Teacher use these targets and aims in their minds during lecture students should know before lecture and in experimental study what are the expectations and goal for achievement like what are the objectives of the lecture. Lecture based on collaborative and cooperative learning enhances students’ interest in study and they easily discuss their ideas. This provide deaf students exposure to subject language like if they study science subject they get opportunity to practice science language with peers it provides them language experience, empower students through knowledge about subject and lecture with other sources like book reading, articles and magazines and make sure students feel comfortable during making assignments, projects and presentations within language which they feel they will present their ideas and knowledge about the task and topic in a better way.

Teachers influence students towards internal motivation when they personally take interest in all students and punctually take responsibility of students. Well-informed, self-governing teachers give variety of choices to students. Teachers giving stimulating and challenging task increase motivation. Some researcher revealed that extrinsic and intrinsic motivation positively associates with education achievements of the students. Gottfried (1990) conduct a study to population of data like primary, elementary and high school students, student’s achievement measure through the teacher response towards students and marks sheet of the students.
